Welcome to Internet Investigator 2.0

Hey there!  Since 1998 I've been an Internet investigator using online, or web based tools.

The first of these, Web Detective, appeared in 1995 when windows(reg) 95 came out and

The Internet was gradually picking up steam! Little did we know how long the journey was!

Web Detective was basically a large collection of links to web government records and

other privately provided investigative resources for the USA, Canada and the U.K.

The second investigative site to appear was the strikingly popular Net Detective in 1996

which went on to get over 750,000 registered users. It started as a downloadable software

program for windows(reg) which resembled a modern day E-Book and was neatly organized

using clear tabs to the different areas such as people search, background check, death index,

births and deaths, military records, criminal records, court records, property, etc.

In 2002 the company, HD Publishing, changed Net Detective on to a web based platform because

of problems with user registration, hackers, password generators and people losing their login data

but possibly even more so because you can deliver a broader range of data services from server

side systems than you can deliver from client-side software systems.

HD Publishing soon thereafter started purchasing multi gigabyte databases for in-house serving to

clients on The Internet for people search into well over 211 million U.S. citizens. From this point in

time the detective sites were more than simply a collection of bookmarks to other sites.

Recently we see the emergence of improved services powered by the C.I.S. system: Complete

Investigation Services, under various labels and brand names such as Webstigate. See the right side

panel of navigation to Government Records for a link to the Webstigate search system powered by

C.I.S. This is a highly expanded range of investigation services with many options and choices of

searchable databases that even professional law enforcement agents are now using in their daily

work.

So there has been a marked evolution of the online investigator people search systems. First they

were merely a collection of links or bookmarks in an ebook format or on the web, pointing to U.S.

Public Records such as county court records and bankruptcy files. There was advice about how

you can contact the FBI under the federal Freedom Of Information Act to review your own identification

record or rap sheet.

Next the Detective sites truly evolved into a wide ranging database searching system required by P.I.s

and professionals that activates thousands of discreet databases in an effort to return data such as a

subject's 20 year address history. See the navigation panel on the right hand side of this page for a

link to Government records to start your extensive information searching now or whenever you feel

completely ready ...

I hope you find what you're looking for!
